Personal insurance

The Insurance Policy Act (VersVG – Versicherungsvertragsgesetz) differentiates between personal and elementary insurance. In the case of personal insurance, the risk that is insured is directly in the physical sphere of a natural person. Such risks in particular include health insurance, life assurance, pension insurance and accident insurance.
