Highly volatile commercial real estate loans (HVCRE)

HVCRE is a sub-group of specialised lending in the IRB approach pursuant to the Basel Accord (see also income generating commercial real estate). It involves financing operations in conjunction with commercial real estate, that are particularly high in risk.
